Our LiteBOS connectors are designed to be rugged, but with the constraint of being as light as practicable. These are excellent where weight is an issue, such as ROVs and AUVs. They’re also a bit smaller than their big brothers, HeavyBOS, due to less massive cross sections.
LiteBOS connectors were derived from our HeavyBOS connectors, which customers loved but couldn’t deal with the weight of. They asked us for something tough, but much lighter — and they liked some of the features of HeavyBOS, such as snug-fitting locking sleeves that help inline cables deal with off-axis bending.
LiteBOS Product Range
LiteBOS is available in 10.6mm size, with Female Socket (FS) or Male Pin (MP) contact configurations.
Bulkheads
Bulkhead receptacles mount to your pressure vessel, offering HeavyBOS-derived ruggedness in a lighter, smaller package.
Inlines
Inline plugs are available as pigtails or molded directly onto your cable, plugging into a bulkhead receptacle or another inline connector.
Locking Sleeves
Snug-fitting locking sleeves, carried over from HeavyBOS, help inline cables deal with off-axis bending and resist disengagement under cable pulling loads.
